I just ordered my TURBONATOR!! Time to prove them wrong! 35hp GAIN!!
After seeing that stupid AD for it in my face for months, I figured I would have to try it. In the last year I have turned into a Dyno ***** and I am always looking for reasons to go back for more! I figure since Honda-Tech has it advertising on the site, they must be legit! 35hp gains?! This should be fun!
I have also recently bought a MUGEN Chip off ebay with the idea of trying it on the Dyno, and then ruthlessly bashing the seller to make sure he doesn't rip any more people off. After 10 yrs in the Import world and 15yrs in the Car world, nothing pisses me off more than false claims to power gains just to take peoples money!
Has anyone here tried a TURBONATOR on the Dyno?
Next on the list is the E-Ram electric supercharger.(This one I have more confidence in, I drove a Civic with one!)

Mugen Chip + Tornado + Turbonator + E-ram = 1000 WHP
NONE of these products have been definitively disproved to the Honda community on a dyno from what I've seen. If you do the dynos, every board in the universe will link to your post when someone asks about the E-ram, etc...
DO IT!

I have never bothered to test any of those things because their claims are absurd
I would love to see definitive proof that they cost you power

I'd like to see this too. And if you don't mind I'd like to hear a little more about this Mugen chip, since you were a little vague about it. I'm particularly interested because I'm trying to sell a Spoon ECU right now and when it was on my car I wasn't unsatisfied. I sure as hell wouldn't want someone to feel that they got ripped off if I did ever sell it.

Re: (nikolai.)
A local news station had us install and test the tornado in a customers nissan pathfinder. Under the same driving conditions it got 1 mpg less and the customer said it was not as responsive on the highway.
Anyone who knows how engines work can tell its a gimmick. the e-supercharger I am very interested to see results.

Yep, It's a ****** cookie cutter in the intake pipe.. Now wether or not it makes the "tornado" effect doesn't really matter.. because do you really think once the air goes past the TB and into the runners that the "tornado" is still going to be there?
I don't think so.

Exactly, it cant maintain a spiral of air past the plenum. maybe if you put one in each intake port close to the cylinder.....but it would just be a restriction at that point. And if it wasnt, then how can you prove that an agressive swirl is good for combustion on every application ???? rpm range ????

The only way I could possibly see this "Tornado" work, is in a 4bbl carbureted setup.
