Sounds good.

Don't bother running 1999.

I don't think you'll need to go higher than 030000 for 2000, and 015000 for 2001, since fewer Integras than that were sold for those years...

Its really not taking that long, nor taxing my network connection, so I'll keep running it for each year, if you guys want?
I'm running this single-threaded and sequentially by vin, so it can't be hurting the honda/acura website.
Nice man. Please keep us all posted. What a killer idea this thread is.

I will vote (write-in) andyt for President if he gets the question of ages answered.

...and all this time everyone asked the question, did anyone ever think of the solution.

I'm very impressed.

Because the Acura website (www.acura.com) is for American Honda, the U.S. sales organization, and it only identifies cars made for the U.S. market.

I don't know if the same function is available on the Acura website for Honda Canada (www.acura.ca). If so, the same thing could be done there to identify ITRs made for the Canadian market. (BTW, do ITRs made for the Canadian market have "8" in the 12th character of the VIN? I know Canadian NSXs do.) You can find total Integra sales by year in Canada here; they never exceeded 6000 Integras in any of the ITR years, so there would be fewer VINs to check.

Ok, so the program died overnight at some point, but I've restarted it.
I'm up to 1997 vin JH4DC231VS012568.
Now for the interesting part....the given number for 1997 was 318.
I count 320 Champ White cars so far!
Just to double check I searched and counted based on several text strings, and all 320 are listed as "Type R". Hopefully the info in this database is accurate.
Here are the ranges by last 4 of vin.
2516-2519
2819-2832
2835-2849
2861-2925
2927-2966
2970-3029
3037-3056
3066-3127
4247-4286

Hmmm it would be easy if the stolen car databases were on the web...and maybe some of them are, but I imagine thats a slightly more difficult task.
I'd rather try and figure out the vin to armrest number problem

There has to be more than 1023 ITRs in 1998, unless they skipped numbers. When my 98 ITR was purchased from the dealership, the sales man said there were only 1200 produced that year and I have, #1199, the second from the last one produced. Also, I know someone with # 1197. So unless they skipped #'s there are at least 1199 of them in 1998! That is my $.02. I have always been curious if I really have the second to last USDM ITR made in 1998! Good luck on the searching!

This has been established, for example 318 made in 97, I have #357... and there are even higher ones than mine. This has nothing to do with the badge number whatsoever and the # produced also has nothing to do with it as well.

Looks like we might get an answer to our question after all. Just wondering but did the letter we know of from Acura state how many ITR's were sold in 97 and 98 OR how many 97 and 98 ITR's were sold.

A possible explanation could be that they account for "body in white" cars that were sent over to RealTime??
