Some people have gotten the dealer to give them the name/ contact info of the original owner. Due to privacy concerns, they may or may not help you out....but with a little palm greasing...you might get someone at the dealer to make the call for you. Another thought, it's rare...but sometimes the salesman who sold the caR wrote the badge on the sales slip. You might be able to convince them to look in their records to see if this happened. I think some guys have even gone through the DMV to find previous owners. When all else fails, PM me your VIN and I can hopefully narrow it down to a range at least.
