True. I am only using a JDM ITR 4-1. Im sure with a better exhaust manifold, I could see more power. Maybe in the future when I have more money. I may even build my own.

the manifold will definitly give u power. i was using a shity 4-1 TSUDO header with like a 2" collector mated to a 2.5" exhaust piping. the bottom 2 runners were crushed as well. my car coulda made over 150whp w/ a better header.

Time to help out the honda community, i keep my mouth shut too much lol

Heres a video of my LS block. PR3 Pistons, single layer headgasket (only middle layer) Fully ported head with JG valve springs and Crower 404 cams, the idle is not bad at all. Tuned only with a SAFC

Here it is.

For reference, i posted a STOCK GSR motor with a JDM dc 4-1 vs ALL MOTOR LS

Blue is the LS red is the GSR

As you can see it made pretty good numbers. we were conservative cause this motor only has 60 miles on it, and it had 89octane in it from before we did his swap

NO cam gear tuning, and little to none on ingition tuning.

i feel 160whp is well within reach once the motor gets some more miles on it, and once he gets some cam gears.

160 is probably "well within reach".

I never really made more than 3 whp from cam gear tuning with either of teh crower cams I have owned(403's and 404's). However, 3 whp is better than none. Also once teh motor completely breaks in and the piston rings completely seal, you will make more power. Solely b/c you will have more compression, and no parasitic losses. Ignition tuning and better gas will also help. What are your A/F ratios? 160 whp is obtainable, I think after break in and more thorough tuning. Congrats, and keep us the good work. Let us know what you think after you take it for a spin.

yeah i dont think 9whp is going to be gained solely from cam gear tuning. but i think 2-4whp is possible.

That with more miles on the motor, 93octane, and some ignition clean up will be close.

A/F ratios were dead even 13.8:1 across the board. thats were it like it.

good numbers so far man...other than the head work I pretty much have the same setup. I think my winter project will definently be a port job and saving up for a better header, right now i have an old B16 Mugen/Jazma 4-2-1

Damn Mike, you getting lots of praise, like the motor belongs to you, its cool though. For anyone that doesn't know i'm the owner of the car. Shit seems to be making good power for 403s. As soon as i'm finished payin ya ass off for the build i'm gonna get me some adjustable cam gears, try and get a ported head and maybe even some 404s. We'll see how it goes.. Big shout out to Mainstream Performance and Scotty for tuning my shit though, because i know its you guys first time dealin with an all-motor LS.

Does it have ARP rod bolts? If so it should be fine, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

yes it has ARP bolts, however, i felt 20 pulls to damn near 8000rpms was enough for it for now. IT is not my car, and its not my motor , ill let the rings seat a little more and have him run some miles off on it and ill be sure to keep everyone updated.

im already looking for some 404s

EDIT: drove it this morning, feels very nice for NonVtec.
