im running an obd0 distributor...i took the original obd1 distributor off the motor (its an obd1 LS motor) and swapped it with the obdo distributor that im using now. since im also using an obd0 engine wire harness, the distributor just plugs right into it....is this the correct setup?? or did i do something wrong? thanks...

Assuming your running an OBD1 ecu then no that is not correct. You need to run an OBD1 dizzy with obd1 plugs and obd1 ecu. if your running obd0 ecu then yes that is fine. sounds to me like your running an ecu that is obd1 though and thats your problem. please correct me if im wrong

have no idea because he refuses to go to the dyno. The car has been street tuned the hole way. The guy who tuned the ls will be tuning my b16 here some and we will be going to the dyno after we street tune for a little while so I dont have to rent the dyno for as long.

so its putting down about 375ish, pretty damn good for stock LS, although i dont see how its not getting headlift with that kind of boost, its alittle hard to believe especially since even with small turbos 20 psi is about the max that can be ran and not experience headlift

just to refresh... all of a sudden since i changed my spark plugs and hooked up my water temp gauge, my car won't rev past 4k RPM (its like there's a rev limiter there) which by coincedence is where boost kicks in..i had this problem b4 but was able to get it to go away, even though i would get a CEL...now the CEL is on as soon as i turn the car on |

What spark plugs did you use? So basically it starts missing real bad when boost hits?

it just won't rev past 4k, exactly like how a rev limiter would do...i just used regular NGK plugs, nothing fancy....
its an autometer water temp gauge and its wires are hooked up to an apparatus installed in the upper radiator hose...maybe the gauge and spark plug installs are coincedental to this problem reoccurring... |

how much power will it support

its not that it will support alot of power, judging by the pic it seems to be a diesel turbo with a big exhaust and small compressor wheel in a big housing. its junk dont buy it. T4 inlet turbo is just way to big and not nessesary and will be very laggy on an LS motor only trying to make 400hp. you dont just buy any old turbo you buy one that is suited to the build for best performance and spooling characteristics
for a 400whp car you would be better off with a 57 trim or 60 trim or a gt3076 or a turbo from the borgwarner family. also there t3/60-1 or t3/62-1 on an sc34. lots of options out there for a 400whp build that would work very well
