Default R.I.P d16z6 turbo UH OH

yeah well thought i would share... for those with all your fast sohc's out there thought u might like this one.. well after a new head gasket arp head studs.... good tune up.. my car took a big shit... 3rd gear about 100 mph ... i hear this loud ass BOOM... soon after i heard another... then heard a metal 2 metal sounds. i was like uh oh not goood then i hear my rods my block wrist pins bla bla beating the **** out my fire wall... i get out of the car and pop the hood 2 see this.... and this is why u dont run 20 lbs (which can be blamed for boost spike lol) on a stock block sohc . that will conclude my story for the day.. ill will be back in a few weeks.............. guess jus another excuss to build my block... ha

d16z6 block gaurd, arp head studs, headgasket, t3 super 60..5" jrfmi on vafc hack.. ran a 7.5 @91 and then a 12.1 @ 116 on 11 lbs... at rockingham

That's some serious carnage...

So it happened at 20psi on a stock block?

Damn, got to keep an eye on that boost gauge!

HAHAHA so sexual... keep in mind this motor lasted you a year on a vafc hack over 10 psi at all time and over 10 track passes as well as over 20 highway pulls... this motor needs to be framed...

Bad things happen when you run that manifold, even if it is braced!

What does the manifold havt 2 do with blowing my motor? i ran 12.5 on an hx manifold so im pretty happy with the piece of shit manifold it has been good 2 me so i hate 2 see wat a fullrace or luvfab would do 2 that car if i pick that much up of an ssauto mani... impressed me. as for the new setup its a wrap 20 lbs cuming soon.... the right way though ... this was the car that was at rockingham for most of u seen it at the Nopi event.

adSPEED's first, and only Sohc 2 run 11's!!!!!!!!!!!!
