No I didnt, I used aircraft paint remover to strip them, then cleaned them and started sanding.

I think i can tell what rims they are, considering i spent 15+ hours looking at the sticker inside each rim stating "ROTA" as i sanded them. i figured since i hand polished them and painted them, i could give them my own "john handcock" if you will. stating the obvious won't get you far in life. its not like im trying to claim them as "GABS"

Default polish your wheels

Hey guys thanks for all the info on polishing wheels. Now I want to ask what is the difference between this method in the posting using sand paper to get the dull finish then use a metal polish to buff out the wheel. Compared to using compounds? Does the compounds replace the sand paper? I want to use my dremel since I want to redo my wheels but it has small creases and tight areas that I have to use my hands to get into that will take longer than normal to do.
