a/c most likely...but ps might be a stretch....all depends what side you want the compressor on...its rather large

i dont think youve ever seen an hx35 compressor housing in person, its ****ing large to say the least. do nt count on it being able to run on a drag mani and keep AC and PS. not to mention the shitty wastegate placement on the drag manifold it probably wouldnt be able to regulate the boost enough on this monster.

I think blundar's friend Shawn had one on a Drag mani, I may be wrong.

For my $0.02... HX35 compressor scroll is 2" larger than T04, and the comp scroll is an inch or so further out referrenced from the turbine inlet flange. This means most manifolds designed to tuck a T3/T04 against the block end up tucking a Holset compressor into the engine's cooling jacket. The rest of the manifolds seem to place the turbo into your radiator, etc, and generally be a PITA.

any pics of "shawn's" setup. im planning on keeping the block stock so 300max (track only) and 250 daily probably with E-cut.

Is the HX30 compressor housing smaller? I hear these are better for stock 1.8L engines instead of the HX35. Im more worried about price though. thats my only set back right now. I really want to keep my A/C and P/S. I may have to ditch my hoslet dreams though. what do you guys think?

I think that guy was running 30psi. And they are saying its doing that b/c there is no bov so air is going back into the turbo.

Anyone know if a hx30 will fit a drag mani and clear PS and AC?

This is going to be funny.

I bolted up my h1c to my Hf mani with adaptor plate.
Perfect fit.
Oil drain looks like it will come out great.

hey pm me your email ill send you a copy of my map. but the comp. map for the holset sent me was for h1e with was the early version of the hx model and its sweet spots starts around 1.5 tpr to about 3 bar its runs between 79 and 60% as you go to the right.
it show that even at 1.5 total pressure it can run between 35-45 lbs min at 60-65% efficiency's and thats out of the sweet spot area. the h1e flows about 55-58 lbs/min so the hx40 flows about 10% better than h1e but when we read theses maps got to remember they were flow on desial setup not gas

diesels dont use blow off valves. diesels regulate fuel... not air
