You guys know what exhaust cam I have. Can't find an anwser to it. Its similar to the ctr/itr exhaust cam, but it doesn't have the engraved ring on it. Here is a picture of the ctr/itr exhaust cam. Look similar to it but it doesn't have the engraved ring.

it may mean something... but is entirely non-ITR related if that is what you were thinking.

I know this thread is a couple years old but, is there any way we can see the lobe profile differences (visually) of each one just like you did with the markings on the ends of the different cams?

I bought a 00 type R theft recovery from an auto auction, so I dont know who the last owner was. I have no idea what the motor has done to it. The block is a c1 w/eagle strocker crank, eagle rods, and srp pistons. the head is a Type R that has been built. I pulled the motor out tonight to look it over and freshen it up. I pulled the cams and according to the pics, they look like they are the 88-91 b16 cams, and they have a J stamped into the end on both cams on the distributor side. I thouht this was odd since they were in a type R with some healty engine mods. I compared them with some b17 cams that I had out and the lobes looked nticibly larger. thanks for any help.
