Default My Build-up

hello fellow HT posters.

i know there's plenty of DIY build-ups already been posted but i just want to post some of mine either to be flamed or what not, your comments are most welcomed

http://www.photonski.com/clyde/build-up

i just bought a junky B two months ago and this will be my very first DIY build with a B. i have read very inspiring threads as well here in HT such as these two.

http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1178401

http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1118097&page=1

they really inspire me a lot.

my project will not be that fast for completion due to budget constraints but eventually, i hope to finish it soon. soon means months though.

sourcing parts is one of my major dilemna infact. most of it are coming from US donw here to saudi arabia where i work.

the head will be PnP'd soon when i get home in Philippinesl by next month. along with Omni head package upgrade.

currently, my car will be seeing a new paint hopefully after two weeks. it's gonna take another two weeks for completion. a full EF9 body work will be installed and painted soon along with some CF parts. all parts have been bought from PASSWORDJDM. my utmost thanks to Leo for being so helpfull in all my parts purchase.

i'll try to post more pix soon.

thank you for your time.

...back from the dead.

well it's a year now for this project but I'm almost there to do the engine swap, two weeks and counting since am just waiting for my friend's leave from office so he can help me do the swap at my place.

nothing but a 2nd gen JDM B16 swap with few type r bolt-ons just to run this baby with my custom made wirings. after that, my other built B16 for a FI setup hopefully will push through.

i just installed my skunk2 short shift kit just to have the feel in stock form with the OEM shift rods so when i swap the teg shift rods with the B tranny, i'll be able to know if something's not right.

my custom PITA wire loom using a Del Sol harness plus assorted JDM B16 wires and plugs to complete. thanks to the Helms manuals and wiring diagrams, it's really a very big help

soon to mate it as well with my home made JDM cluster wirings found here

more pix under my sig

thanks man

i hope to do some little bit of wire tucking too.

did any of you guys who did the wire tucking placed the MAP and EVAP sensors just behind the intake mani having any troubles with heat basically? i mean, will it cause trouble with those sensors located just below the IM?

i''ll try to post pix of my home made bracket attached behind the IM which holds both sensors. i took them out of their original locations therefore the wires to those sensors are tied with the entire wire loom under the IM.

many thanks guys

high end cars in here are plenty, i mean everyday you see them in the city, skylines, lambos, ferraris, porsche's, mustangs, etc.

for honda's, there are plenty of v6/L4 iVTEC accords but in stock form. few civics are modified ones and almost engine swaps are done not locally but they have to drive to Bahrain, a neighboring country to have it done.

i still have to meet the few guys around who had their engine swaps done. a crx with greddy turbo kit, an eg hatch with an H(paid me a visit at home just yesterday, a turbo ek sedan, etc. problems in here is the access to tuning gadgets and expertise. the guy who did an H in a prelude have to invite a guy all from bahrain just to do the wirings stuffs. but here we are doing our own, home brewed

my new friend, EG hatch with an H:

i have done an EK hatch swap/wiring myself about 5 months ago. my car's the second swap project am doin.
