Suspension Civic Type R EP3 (Civic Si in the states)
Hi there.
I´m new at the forum and I would like to ask you all a question.
I´m thinking of getting a set of coilovers for my Civic type R, but the prices in sweden are sky-high. Therefor I decided to buy my items from the states instead.
So here comes my question: What store is the best one? Best prices? Best service? Shipping overseas? Which brand should I choose? I´m interested in Öhlins (or Ohlins as you say over there), swede as I am. Are there any good places to get hold of a set of ohlins for a resonable cost.
Thankful for any help in my chase for the perfect racetrack feeling

Re: Suspension Civic Type R EP3 (Zeb_Macahan)
Ohlins is not very popular over here, so we simply do not know that much about them.
The combination of McPherson struts and an unusual Honda design associated with their use on the EP3 has led to a lot of debate about aftermarket suspensions and what might be the best thing for any given situation.
I think that if you told us what you were going to be doing with your EP3, we might be able to help you better.
If you are an enthusiast who will be mostly driving his car on the street, with perhaps occasional journeys to a road course, then I can certainly recomment the Mugen Sports Suspension as a no-brainer installation that minimises the possible aftereffects of suspensions on the EP3.
The Mugen relocates the tie rod ends for the height of the suspension, and the suspension's not adjustable so that the user cannot introduce problems were none were evinced in the design.
If you use the Mugen SS in conjunction with a DC5 ITR rear swaybar, you'll have a nice low risk improvement.
