Just out of curiosity here...
When i set mine up, i went into the screens as you have shown above, but the number NS/255 like the screen below. If you notice, you can drive in each gear and the N/S number will change for each gear. I set my car up this way. Please correct me if i'm wrong. Also, we could use a post for the avcr users as the archive doesn't have much info. Modified by RacerXI at 4:07 PM 10/27/2004

Finally, some useful information for some people. I use the AEM EMS, but I know people needed this.

What does the Setting [A], [b] mean? Is that low and high boost? Also. for the Learn-Gear mode, What does itexactly do, and do you have to do it for every gear?

Jason, thanks for this write up. I was looking into a gear dependent boost controller and this might be the one for me. Great write up.!

Setting {A} and setting {B} is like toggling between two boost maps. This is a great write up.

Also, when you set up the gear judge, the avcr will start to learn your duty % unless it is already set up.

excellent post, it tooke me absolutely forever to figure this out, but as of my last event, i was a good deal faster. took otu boost in 1st, added in 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Helped me to a 11.75 1/4 on pump gas at a base of .9 bar, which allowed it to spike to 1.00 bar. times were on slicks, off course
![]() but its amazing how well it works, my hondata datalogs don't show the response taht well, but in terms of grip, it was amazing. good writeup and nice times on street tires. |

FYI: I've seen a small yellow (0.25bar, 3.63psi) make 17psi on a dyno with a boost controller and a tial ext. wastegate.
Also: When your NE point is set to start at 3K and goes up by 500 rpm increments to 7000, does the system keep reading up until say 8500 rpm?
