just went to advanced auto and got a brand new coil, put it in and still wont start.
CHECKED THE SPARK COLOR - IT WAS ORANGE, WHAT DOES THIS SIGNIFY?
I know for a fact im getting plenty of gas.
I know its not the timing, just had everything apart to check it again and it is perfect according the my drawing i did up top. Used Helms manual for reference. So has to be correct.

on a side note, my friend just thought of a question. I installed an OEM Honda Head Gasket and when we put it on the black side was up. His argument was: technically the head gasket could be put two ways. I looked at the helms manual and it seemed to me that the head gasket was suppose to be on with the black side up and there was a little part the jutted out on the back right side. Can anyone verify this is correct? the water jacket holes were above cylinder #1 ...

Spark should be bright white. Orange spark generally means the coil is bad. Are you testing spark this way?
It is either:
A) warped, or possibly the block is warped?
B) Head gasket was put on upsidedown
C) Other, in which case we would need a reason for a large amount of antifreeze to be draining out of my exhaust when i crank the motor over.
ARP head studs were torqued in OEM pattern but to ARP specs of 60 ft/lbs.
Any suggestions as to why I am getting antifreeze through my head? My personal feeling is that I have a warped head. History of this car was: Back 2 years ago spun a rod bearing due to low oil from scraping my oil pan. Replaced the bottom end with a used y8 block with internals from a guy on HT. Ever since the motor has seemed to leak antifreeze, that was my reason for most of the maintenance. So either my head (about 180k miles on it now) is warped, or something else is wrong is my guess. Antifreeze in with the gas is what keeps it from starting is my feeling.

I think at this point I have to
A) pull the head off and get it milled/ checked for cracks.
or
B) find a new head all together.
Can anyone tell me if a Z6 head would work with my y8 dizzy? and if so what head gasket would i use if i were to put a z6 head on a y8 block? Thanks for all the help, sorry it ended up not being spark. lol, i prob got a new cap, rotor, and coil for no reason but oh well...
