Figured i showed photos of my car, now here's the latest from today.... OWNED by an APC intake filter....

driving back home heard a weird noise pulled over...limped it back to my buddy justins house, which was 10mins further up the road.

Basically this is what happened:

heard a piece of metal tumbling around, didnt have any boost rolling through a stop light trying to pass a car after light. Pulled over asap, thought worst turbo took a shit whats done is done, limped the car home trying to stay out of boost and under 3000rpms. (APC intake filter came apart, my car is making over 400whp)

RIP FPHTA88 turbo

BTW turbo1307 took the pics!

Everything looks normal

Now the aftermath

small little triangle looking piece is part of my turbine wheel

what we know happened

the destruction

OWNED!

Heres my 96' TSi AWD.

Built 6-bolt 2.3 liter stroker- eagle crank, ross pistons, eagle rods, arp hardware, blah blah blah.
GT30R
Built head with HKS 272's
Supporting mods.

Made 492 AWTQ at 23PSI at 4300rpms, 360 AWHP before the head lifted due to timing advance.

Head was pulled and gasket was replaced and I retorqued the ARP headstuds to 100FT'LBs vs. the 90 before.

Held strong at 31PSI- DSMlink showed a wee bit over 500 (502 IIRC)AWHP and 545 AWTQ on 93 pump.

A few pictures of the car- together and in pieces.

Doesn't Start Much

Dumb Shit Motorsports

Don't Buy Me you'll regret it

Just kidding. I never really understood why they gave these cars a name other than what they were though (talon, eclipse, laser). Marketing strategy I would assume.
