SMooTHn DIY OIL Catch Can $25-30
Well I made a catch can out of Walmart and Home Depot Products.
WALMART
1x Silver Ash Soap Dispenser - $10
Home Depot
2x 1/2 in fitting - $1.77
1x 1/2 in Tubing - $12
1x Pack of 3/8-7/8 Hose Clamps - $6
Note: I bought another part i might need at HD but I willbe returning it cuz I found a better way.
Already had Teflon Threading tape and RTV Silicone.
I got the soap dispenser took the screw on dispenser off and was thinking how i can use the top for my catch can. THen i thought "that'd be tite if the oring that was in my old b20 head for my pcv would fit in this top!" Well WTF do you know it did perfectly.
(ill get more pics tomorrow)
Then I drilled holes for the 1/2 in fittings i got from HD, threaded the crap outta them with teflon tape and screwed them suckers in and put RTV Silicone around the fittings gonnna let sit over night.
I also took the bottom off the dispenser , cause inside was plastic. And the top holding my PCV was part of that plastic so i couldnt eliminate it, and that will also sit over night.
I had to RTV silicone the top as well cause air was leaking from the top, then i wrapped it with teflon, so it doesnt move around for whatever reason.
I didnt take a bunch of pics cause im tired, Also changed my nephew transmission. SO im beat, here is my finished product.
Ill post pics of it after i mount it somewhere in my cluster fawked engine bay...

another good thing to use for the body of a diy catch can is a cheap steel water bottle, the kind with a screw top that resemble camp stove fuel bottles. i got one at like, old navy or something for $5 and made something similar.
they look like this, the one i bought was black with a skull on it.

I dont think im ever going to look at a soap dispenser the same way again. haha. The water bottle thing sounds looks cool too but most of the ones i see like that are made out of aluminum and they are very thin.

SMooTHn 2nd DIY Oil Catch Can $20
Haha.. Soo my Brother wanted a catch can so im giving him my first DIY catch can.
My second one. I wanted it to be different, I was looking around my garage, AGAIN!
And when i was a younger lad (LOL) I was into graffiti, I liked doing murals and pieces.
So I was gonna use an old Spray can. I took all the pressure out. Before drilling, ensure all pressure is removed from the can!!! and drilled a hole into it to empty the remaining contents inside the can. After that I used Aircraft Paint Remover to remove the can label. I dont have any pictures of any of this part, SORRY!
2x Paint Spray can (1 old & 1 new)- $1-10 depending on what brand and type your are buying
2x 1/2 in fitting - $1.77
1x 1/2 in Tubing - $12
I already had teflon tape and RTV silicone.
7/29/70: Ill add a drain plug this weekend!
Here is the can before hacking it up
First i drilled out a hole on top and 2 on the side then I used teflon on the fittings before screwing them in
I took the rubber grommet that was on my old b20b head and fit onto the top of the can
After i was done, sealed then i taped off the fittings and painted it with High Temp BBQ grill Paint.
DORA says HOORAY!
