no.
If his timing was that mangled, it wouldnt even be able to idle. Thats definetly not a timing issue, definetly electrical. Sounds like something isnt grounded or you have some exposed wires rubbing together. I had the same problem with my car, i had a shit wack of wires under my cluster from terrible alarm, sub, deck install, I removed all the useless junk and the car hasn't had a problem since. I donno maybe it was just my car.

to God-driven, i changed the actual one wire coolant temp. sensor. not the sensor for the gauge. i know this.
and my timing is fine. it didnt start till after the car sat for a few months if that has anything to do with it. ive checked all grounds. and everything looks tight. i do have a bunch of random wires under the dash from old acc. so ill prolly pull all that out tommorow and see if it changes anything...

well, ive now tried everything i can think of and still the problem persists. i did fill her up a few days ago and on the first half of the tank i got almost 140 miles. then it hits the half mark and drops to a 1/4 of a tank within about 23 miles. thats what kind of gets me confused. i guess im going to start blindly throwing parts at it again...probably just another fuel filter, o2, wires, and plugs. ugh! this is killing me!

you guys think this could have anything to do with it? i let my dad borrow the wire for his teggy while mine was sittin and i pressume i didnt look at when i put it back on my car. i pulled them today and saw it. its just this one wire. the others are fine.
![]() ![]() my thought is that when it was in my dads teggy, (HG was blown in that cylinder) it somehow fried that wire and is now shooting the spark through the sleeve instead of through my plug? that sound legit?

I've seen wire arc out through the sleeve before. Looks pretty cool at night, lol. Change the wires, that one doesn't look good one way or another. Pull the plugs while you're in there, see what story they tell. If that doesn't fix it I still think you should test the O2 sensor.
