possible solution to my air bubble problem...forgot about the O ring that went on the water pipe between the thermo housing and the water pump! it could have fallen off when i replaced the pump but who knows.

I would get a leak down tester and try to seal the deal on exactly where it is leaking. Either that or you can do it the CHEAP ass way and just put air into the cylinder. Make sure you limit it to about 100 PSI. When you do this then make sure your valve cover cap, dipstick, coolant cap, and intake piping are all off when you do this so you can pinpoint ALL of the areas it is leaking out of. |

i did a pressure test, i've read that you put compressed air into each cylinder and let it blow! i removed one spark plug at a time and i couldnt hear any air escaping anywhere or bubbling in the overflow. i lowered the amount of coolant (i had it too high) in the overflow and it bubbles still but doesnt overflow. also noticed that the overflow cap is faulty, tilted it sideways and the coolant leaked. im gonna focus on my a6 head which is OUT of the car...this is the head that the car had the problems with. i have an unknown zc head on the car now. the oil did NOT look like this with the a6 head before i changed the headgasket. the straight edge was good for the a6 head, that shit was straight, more than likely i just blew that gasket. but now with this zc head, who the hell knows.
