hello all im new too the forum as of today...have a few questions...i have a friend who is selling a 1998 ish civic dx...car has a d16 with forged rods and pistion...aftermarket cams and valves and retainers..has stock bottem end...im interested in buying the car as a project but i will be running it for the summer as it is..i was wondering what would be the best unit too tune with..it has no tune right now runing about 6 psi boost( its a ebay turbo kit do i have no clue what it is)...also what would be a good size injector too run..and info would be great thanks

eCtune, Hondata S300, and Neptune are some of the most common tuning softwares. The size injector you would use depends on how much HP you want. A set of DSM 450cc injectors are good for about 300WHP.

FYI...there is a D-Series thread that has a lot of information that will help you achieve your goal.

thanks for the info and it comes with the stock 190s that are in there now and some 550's...and il take a look at the d-series formus sorry newbie move lol

Weird combo fully built motor minus sleeving but an EBAY turbo kit and no tuning. This sounds more like fully stock motor with a cheap owner. If the setup is true it is backwards of thinking. I would rather have a stock motor with a really nice turbo kit and a lot of tuning.

I'd say put it back to all motor before you blow it and do it right by getting engine management (I use Hondata), upgrade your fuel system etc...

it might be sleeved im not sure exacly....but ive riden this car and it goes pretty good..its been like that for a while with no problems...just needs a good tune
