So nobody knows what makes this noise? Damn it people I want answers!
![]() It is very annoying, I have to bump the tunes to drown it out. Would be nice to get rid of it. |

how many km's?
any track use? the release bearing could be the issue. have you swapped it out yet? Willis -on release bearing #3 (with ~141,500km's) (and does not sit at traffic singals with his foot on the clutch) |

Yup, "Type-R" is synonymous with "Clutch-click"
Try greasing your clutch pedal (that did the trick for mine), if not then it's the slave/master cylinder that needs some lube.

Yup, he's right about the CR & FD.
I'll try to grease the clutch and see how that goes. Car has 56,500 k's and has seen one track day very early in its life. |

Now it's less effort just to put it in neutral and sit with the clutch released.-Chris Edit: My clutch clicks, but I can't hear it over my [insert car noise here] anymore.

probably release bearing and/or pressure plate. unless its taking away from drivability, not much you can do.

Its not the throw-out bearing, its coming from the inside of the car. Doesn't matter if the car is off/on, I'll try some grease on the shaft and if that doesn't work oh well. Its not that bad but I figured if there is an easy fix I'd do it.

i know this is kind of a necropost but mine just started doing this tonight. every now and then there is a click that's coming out of the trans/clutch area. car drives fine did we ever figure out the common cause for this? basically when you let it out real slow off the floor there is a solid click. push it in half way & let it out, no click

another self cure. oddly the TB was sticking. cycling it back and forth to move the grease around fixed the issue. if anyone else hears clicking from the transmission area, before you tear it apart try moving the clutch fork both directions as far as you can a few times. pushing it toward the slave and back fixed the issue.
