A wideband is a sensor, similar to an oxygen sensor, that measures a broad range of A/F. They don't come on the car, you have to buy and install one.

the wideband,... i dont kno which one i have.
and i am looking for what it is and found; Wideband is more accurate for determine how lean/rich you are running Your car stock has 2 narrowband O2 sensors, these sensors operate between 0 and 1000 mv ... however they are only accurate at or around 14.7:1 Air Fuel Ratio The further you go away from 14.7:1 (either direction) the less and less accurate they are Wideband operates from 0 to 5 volts and I think has a useable range of 10-20 Air Fuel Ratio? It is VERY accurate ... So by logging the AFR using an accurate wideband you can more easily and safely dial the tune in and The wideband will alow you to get real time on the road air fuel readings. This allows for more precise programming of the PCM. |

My tuner uses his own Wideband, they take mine out and plug his in... Get it to a tuner and let him tune it, spend 100$ on a tune or a 1000$ when it blows.
I run an Innovate LC-1, if that helps..

Also, OBD2 cars have 2 O2 sensors and OBD1 only has one.
