Default Considering a Fit Sport...

I'm trying to decide if I want to purchase a used or new Fit Sport Auto. What are you guys seeing them being sold for new? Are dealerships still marking up due to supply/demand? I'm honestly not sure if I can get one for 18,500-$19K out the door.

I found this local one at a dealership 2008 model:
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/ctd/1387435310.html

Good price? What do you think would be a fair offer?

Thanks in advance.

Thats retail price for a new one (going back on 07/08 models when they could be had new) with 22k on it. Honda Fit's have a resale value like a Harley Davidson, it grows instead of depreciates lol

Fitfreak.net I would give it a whirl and see what you find, may be able to snag a good deal on there, but they are quite amazing cars. From the outside, they are tiny, but you have room like an SUV on the inside. Its quite the little vehicle, and for a single cam, the L series makes the D series look like a turd.

Personally, exterior of 07/08 is way better than 09+, but the 09 has a cool interior...not worth not liking the outside though.

I would say offer them $14.5

That's a sexy car, i've honestly considered getting one. Is the seller a dealership or the owner? A lot of times that can change the outcome of the price as well. Dealerships tend to waver more due to credit, down payment etc. But if it's by owner they may be selling for what they owe on it and won't budge at all.

Here in the East side most dealers were selling them at MSRP which is what I paid for my Sport and the Navi one was tempting but $2k more for the Navi and the traction control was not worth it. I mean I don't see what I am going to do with traction control with a car producing 119HP at the crank.

I got the 09 one because I like interior very much compared to the 07 ones but you would really have to see the difference in person. One major obstacle for me was the huge ass nose that the 09 have because of something dealing with crash test result so Honda had to extend the nose for US sales.

When I was in HK the 09 fit look so much better and more aero dynamic just like the 07's. The nose was so much shorter but the engine compartment was extremely tight. One thing I do miss is the Glass roof top ones, they are super sexy in person.

I think you should get an 09+ Fit

enjoy what ever you decide.

Yeah good luck with that, even at window the dealership loses money...so now they are gonna sell you the car which INVOICE is 16539...and give it to you for 15,800? 15829 is the base invoice before adding all the appropriate costs, fees etc..

If you can buy a Fit Sport at sticker its a fair deal -

That and the auto invoice is $17355 (with destination yada yada) MSRP is $17,970

Just got a 2009 Fit Sport automatic...

There is the deal you get if you have no trade, which is not going to give you much leverage, but then there is the bargain you can drive with your trade. Having a good car in in good shape that you didn't pay an arm and a leg for puts you in a great position to let the dealer buy your rent-a-wreck for more than you paid.

I gave them a ten year old Corolla stick with 150,000 miles and managed to get $3,500... which is exactly what I paid for it two years ago. From $17,850 we went to $17,250... then down to $13,750.

It is the total deal you are driving for, not just the price before the trade. And remember: you can always walk away. Honda didn't have a great October. They are going to have an even worse November. Sometime around November 30 (a Monday, mind you) at 3pm, your sales rep is going to be begging his GM to give you a break.

Good luck!
