I think they are poking fun because your post sort of gives the impression that you got your mods done without thinking ahead too much about exactly what kind of build you wanted. I don't know if that's the case but it is sorta how it came across.
I'd say with such high compression pistons you're definitely headed for an all motor build, so obviously things like FI are out of the question. In that case if you've done the necessary breather mods obviously the next step is to upgrade the camshafts. Unfortunately, I don't really know enough about all motor builds to give you good advice, but there are certainly people here who do. Obviously you want a cam that matches your compression well, but you also need to make sure that you've got proper clearances. I honestly have no idea how much of an issue that is for your build. There's a strong chance you'll be advised to swap other parts out as well. If you don't get more help here, I recommend trying again in the All Motor section. Also, you'll get better replies if you just post your entire build -- just list it out, and definitely say what catback, cat, header and intake you have (give pipe diameters at the very least), because all those matter quite a bit, actually. They'll also like it if you are clear about your goals. Say 12's if that's what you want, but know that you'll need race gas and special tires for that as well, and it'll also take a lot of work and may degrade your car as a DD. |

I'm glad I could help. I definitely want to stress, however, that you should really do your research before getting a set of cams. Since cams all cost relatively the same regardless of performance level you might as well get the correct cams right off the bat. Getting the wrong cams could cause you to miss some performance potential, could result in driveability loss, or could potentially harm your engine.
You need to make sure your valvetrain is equipped to handle the cams you buy, and you need to find out from someone more knowledgeable than I whether you will have P to V clearance issues with your internals. Your pistons are pushing up pretty high, and high, long duration lifts from high-spec cams might be risky. My gut feeling is that you could do better performance-wise than ITR, but that Skunk2 Pro 1's are pretty extreme and might cause you some trouble if you aren't careful. I also need to point out that I am NOT the person to give you concrete advice on this. I'm still a big noob when it comes to allmotor engine building. |

there are only a few people in the world that can properly tune the SK2 pro cams. Some guys can tune it, but if you are planning to get them, get it tune right by the few individuals that really know how to. Me? LOL I am not even close...But not being an ass, 12's in colorado would be extremely fast somewhere else. Altitude affects a car a lot. 16.8 there, but come either to MN, or somewhere closer to sea level, you bet 15's, or even 14's. BTW have you ever been in a 12 sec car? how about 13 or even 14? It is very scary....fastest car I have ever been in would have to be 540hp Supra. Yes, I shit my self. funny also because he ran the 1/4 in 12.XX something.....very scary..

I would go with skunk2 pro 2s. could do some head work but that is a little more costly, if u do be sure to do the intake and exhaust ports also. Those 17s are junk for your quarter mile times get some 14s with some slicks. when i put the slicks on my civic i gained .2 seconds with not much effort at all. Just my two cents.

You have a goal, but have not chosen a path to reach it. You need to do some reading, especially in the Drag forum. If you are at 5500 feet, boost is a more attractive option.

You are putting maybe 190whp to the ground, if that. Read in the drag forum like dogg said. If you are planning on drag, you really need to look into forced induction. Because you will never get there with a na honda engine...

Don't street race. And if you do, don't talk about it here.

I think he means those races were at Bandimere, which is a drag strip.

but good luck making more power going NA with B-series. to me, if i was to go with NA, i'd rather do an H2B or K-series swap...they have a lot more power potential.

well, yes those cars were from bandimere, but i wanna know whats wrong with stepin on it on the road dont tell me you have a b engine and dont like to have fun, im not retarded either i wouldnt put someone elses life in danger so obviously you dont race around other cars... but im not gonna wait a year til race season to have fun id say its fine on an open road or backroad where you can only kill your self. but yesss i still have questions, a kseries is out of my reach, so how much power from a good tune off the s300 could i make with type r cams, also would type r cams give me like 10 hp over stock b 16?

I run ITR cams in my GSR with a S300, saw about 8whp peak when I changed cams. You might see 10hp, but if you are still running stock compression I don't think you'll make it. Some of what you have mentioned I think a 2.0ltr, 12.5:1 89 or 92 stroke with some big cams, Pro2's maybe, you should get into some pretty good power at your elevation.
