your motor is rocking back and forth too much. movement..taking it out of gear. notice the car vibrates and is more stiff if you hold it in 5th and punch it and let off punch it and let off........i had this problem. torques mounts are poop

i have in solid innovative mounts.. could that still be the problem?? i just dont understand that it didnt do this before..

I wouldnt think its the TQ mounts, if your meaning the 2 brackets up front, some people don't even run with those...
Could be a bad synchro, could be the shop flubbed something up a bit |

Its the 5th gear syncro.
They do double duty. One side helps with the changing of the gear, syncronizing the speed of the engine and transmission + the other side holds the trans in the selected gear. Take it back to the shop and get them to fix it.

ok that makes sense... they told me take out the 2 12mm bolts with the springs and balls and stretch the springs and then replace them ..didnt work

When I built my DA I thought the tranny I bought was shot, after about 30 sec of being in 5th gear if i let off the gas it would just pop out of fifth gear.... did a little searching found out that if the trans fluid was low this would happen.
toped it off never happened again... check it out, try it maybe it will be just that simple |
