i'm trying to be at all nasa events next year. i'm gonna be running either my turbo miata, or my shop's ls/turbo crx in ttb. also run HHR and PCA (valley region) events throughout the year. FYI: at any private coutry club style track (like MSR-H, HHR, etc..) clubs like pca, bmwcca, svt club, s2k club, or nasa for that matter, will rent the track and it's waaayyyy cheaper than just showing up to one of those tracks and paying to get on. get that car done and get some seat time.

to the op: what's up with those d2 coilovers? i've seen those advertised but have never heard of anyone actually using them anywhere. has someone actually tried them (at a track) and they suck?

I've priced out holding an event at H2R. With 35 people at $150 it can be done. The trick is getting enough people to commit.

Yea getting 35 people to commit is the hard part. A guy used to set up track days at MSR (cresson,tx) from one of the local forums, but the last event he asked for a small deposit and people still flaked on him the day of.

If you guys decide to do something, let me know. I'd really like to get a test-and-tune session before any races next year. Problem is, I just don't know when I'll finish up my car...
