1. What car is it specifically?
2. What is the "can of heat" your talking about? 3. Why did u put 90 octane gas into your accord?

X2 and did it throw a check engine light?
Sounds like you got bas gas from the station? Ya, if it was a stock accord there was no need for 90 octane at all. Maybe people hardly ever buy the 90 at that station so it was really old? SOHC

It sounds like you picked up a bad batch of gas at the local Quicky-Mart and it's either contaminated or your filter is no longer passing gas. (Gasoline that is) ![]() You've obviously got spark (from it restarting. ....) I'd start with a new filter first. It's cheap Let us know how that turns out. The fuel delivery tanker wasn't making a delivery while you were filling up, was he? P

2. The heat he is talking about is basically 100% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol.) People in cold climates sometimes put it in their gas to avoid condensation in the tank or lines. And there are other uses for it (i think it will clean your injectors.) That wouldn't be his problem. I used it in my teg quite a few times when it got really cold here. 3. I run premium sometimes in my Accord... higher octane pump gas shouldn't cause any problems. It gives me better gas mileage. And sometimes i just like to spoil my girl

typically, running high octane in a car designed for regular octane will not improve gas mileage or make the car run any better. and even in the rare case that it does, you need quite a significant improvement in mileage to justify the extra money you're spending on the premium fuel (somewhere around an 8% improvement, depending on the exact fuel price).

it might not be noticable that it makes it run better (to me it seems like it is,) but it burns cleaner and is therefore better for your engine. exactly how much better i dont know. i wasnt saying that everyone should run higher octane, just that i do it sometimes and it should not cause any problems.
