why spend 4k on a ka24/20 frankenstein that makes 220hp when you could buy a j32a type s motor for little over a grand and hasport now make mounts for it so you'll make 265 with out anything done to it?

1. I like being able to close my hood
2. High revs are more fun
3. No aftermarket for J's
4. Crap tranny's
5. Weight
6. Buy an accord if you want a v6...

We're talking about a $2k k24a2 engine with tons of swap parts, research, and info thats available.

I know K series are the new breed and are the biggest and badest thing right now. However I see it as for the money spent, you already have the B18c5... why not just rebuild and turbo it? If I could have justified the cost of a K swap I would have done it. But for some reason I like the B18c. Even if I had the option of what motor to put in a shell I would rather spend $6000 max on a B18C Type R rather than piece together a K series.

While I dont like drag racing myself, dont discredit ones hobby they want to use with their ITR. And FWIW, 95% or more ITR owners are HPDE'ers. The ones who actually "race", not HPDE.....guess what.........have K's.

Its proven. Dont knock it til you try it.

So nobody really "raced" until after about 1999 when the K was available to put into a DC2 chassis?

Since you are going to the K swap here are some things to look into to get the most power out of it even in stock form. It appears that the 06 TSX has the most aggressive stock cams. More so than any K24 or K20, even the K20A ITR.
And there is some debate as to which head is better, the 06 K24 TSX head or a K20 head.
As for stock manifold, you might be interested to look into the RRC from the current JDM CTR.
But take your time and choose what you think is best, the K will not disappoint.

Here are some links to check out with pics and dynosheets...

Im hoping it isnt a problem Mods for me to post those links here
