P0171 system lean code on K20A
Guys,
I got my Euro R accord from japan, however In japan the chek engine was ok.
As soon as arrived I got it with chek engine light, scanned it , cleared it twice, comes on after a while, SYSTEM LEAN ON BANK 1>code P0171, anyone recalls what that means?
Would it be that when unloading from ship, the 02 sensor on bottom got hit or something?
Please help !!1

I have just fueled the tank with normal pumpgas unleaded, since car came with 1/4 tk from japan. ECU light was on from unloading of vessel,so not after fueling.
when idling for 15min, after Ecu light has been resetted, the ECu light comes on.and give same code P0171.System to lean bank 1.
I will be cheking the parameters, 02 sensor, fpr, etc

definitely a good place to start looking...see if your primary oxygen sensor is stuck. from what ive seen, this usually causes the car to run extremely rich to compensate for what it sees as a lean condition.

check for a biased o2 sensor, not crosscounting.
be sure to check cam lash as well. for the sys too lean code to set the STFT has to be over a certain threshold, and the o2 sensor is what tells the pcm to control fuel trim.
how many miles are on this engine?

car is in extreme good condition, with only 49.900km, the primary 02 sensor will be the one in the pipe on the bottom of the car? or the one above in engine bay at headers?
