Default Fabbed up a CRX topmount with a 4" DP for a HT member...

This is Ef4dr's new setup that I just completed. This was the first 4" DP that I've made with one of my topmounts so I figured I post some pics. Overall, it turned out really well.

Not too bad. You're welding skills are better than most of the guys who sell hundreds of headers on h-t.com. Keep it up.

Thanks! I'm not as good as you though... yet I'd like to think I'm pretty good for being self taught and doing this part time.

I love tig'n

Nice downpipe, and it's cool that you take the time to backpurge it. It's rare I get customers who are willing to pay for backpurging on anything other than the manifold.

On another note, do you ever have trouble with cracking with that brace on the WG tube?

I don't give people the option, if its stainless tube or pipe, its getting full penetration and backpurging, if the customer thinks they know better than they can do it themselves

Bryson, looks good, use some more heat and you can make your penetration look like this:

I was also self taught. Sometimes I feel that to be better. You develop your own comfort level and style quickly and then use advice/tips from experienced welders to take your skills to the next level. For those of you that dont know I no longer work for Shearer Fabrications...I now tig weld for an aviation company and finally getting certified in an array of different alloys. Look for some real sick stuff soon from RMS. Thx for the comment Bryson!

I'm jealous. When I first talked to you about buying a top mount, you weren't even making downpipes with them. Now your fabing up 4" ones. Damn. Your manifolds look 100% better now too. Better fit and absolutely amazing welds. Looks like I might have to get an updated version since I'm still rockin one of the first top mounts you made. Good job man
