SO is nitrous considered forced induction? I believe it is, if not please tell me why.

real quick, yes

anything other than the 14.7 +- psi of the atmosphere pushing your sir in, is forced.

ok sorry for the sake of debate and maybe ill learn something from this

when you spray the nitrous its being shot out of the jet but the engine sucks it in, so is it still forced induction?

Yes it is considered forced induction. No2 is also considered to be a liquid supercharger.

Well, to be truly correct, your motor isn't sucking anything. Atmospheric pressure is forcing itself in to an area of lower pressure. Same with your lungs, you aren't sucking in air, air is force filling your lungs.

Forced Induction is technically defined as increasing the quantity of oxygen introduced into the combustion chamber, beyond that which the motor can acquire on it's own naturally.

Devils advocate here, but the manifold is still under vaccum even when you are spraying.

The old school guys called it NA; all motor was no spray or supercharger.

AT WOT, THERE IS NO MANIFOLD VACUUM!

again as i said above, anything other then the atmosphere pushing air in, even out of a nozzle, is forced induction, the bottle is under pressure isnt it?
