How do I adjust the valve clearances on a JDM B16a engine?

How do I adjust the valve clearances on a JDM B16a engine?

My grandpa called the valve clearances "lashes" and I need to check it with a gapper. First off what are the numbers? secondly are they the same for intake/exhaust valves? I'm also not really to sure what the hell he is really talking about. any help/insight would be nice. thanks.

The diagrams below show how to set the valve lash on a B16a2 engine (not sure if JDM B16a engine is the same).
