Honda vs Honda

There's nothing we love watching more than a good old-fashioned track battle. Especially when said battle includes at least one S2000, and most certainly any other kind of Honda. So we found ourselves quite enthralled with this very cool YouTube clip from DannyDC2.

Mini Nürburgring

The battle takes place at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire, England. Or, as it's otherwise known, the "Mini Nürburgring." The 85-year-old track is widely considered as one of the very best in the UK thanks to its twisty nature and abundance of wooded areas and surrounding parks.

Contender #1

Our contenders in this particular battle start with an S2000 fitted with a K24 for extra displacement.  We don't know all the mods this car has received, but there are some disclosed in the video. They include BC Racing coilovers, a big rear wing, Brembo brakes, and sticky 255/40/17 Toyo R888 tires.

Contender #2

The S2000 is going up against an EG Civic with a K20 under the hood. That lightweight Honda has been fitted with Meister-R coilovers, 205/50/15 Federal RSR tires, and upgraded brakes. Both cars are running stock gearing.

Losing Control

Weight obviously plays a big factor here, as the Civic eventually overtakes our S2000. But the EG driver also clearly struggles with wheelspin and torque steer so violent that he nearly puts it in the grass at one point. After that, he's clearly shaken, even missing a gear or two.

Closing the Gap

The S2000, on the other hand, seems much more composed and is able to brake later than the Civic. That's undoubtedly helped by the massive Brembos this car has, which enable the driver to close a pretty big gap with ease.

Garage Envy

There may be a decisive winner in this battle, but in our minds, the owners of both of these incredible cars are the real champs. And who wouldn't want to have either of them in their own garage?
