Flashback Friday: Liberty Walk Modifies this '90s Honda Legend

Japan's famous Liberty Walk offers its unique treatment to the legendary '90s NSX supercar.

This is the mighty Honda NSX sporting full treatment from Japan's well-known tuner Liberty Walk. Spotted over at CarScoops, this '90s supercar dons full-black guise and looks as menacing as ever. So does Liberty Walk's take on this legend live up to the nameplate?

Distinctively Modern

An added front apron and rear spoiler give the NSX's classic silhouette some added visual dimension. A drastically lowered suspension also gives this mid-engined hero a modernized look even from afar.

Unmistakeable Stance

This car is obviously wider than Honda's untouched version. The dramatically widened track sits on some thick 18 inch wheels which are cambered for an unmistakable look and stance.

Classic Honda

Underneath the Liberty Walk body modifications sits some classic Honda features. Flip-up lights tucked neatly away are encompassed by clean shut lines and crisp edges completely capturing that timeless 90's Honda design.

Senna Would be Proud

It's a well-known fact that Ayrton Senna was involved in the development and design of the original NSX. Liberty Walk's NSX shown here, looks wider and sportier than ever, managing to keep the soul and spirit of the original intact.

Bodywork Extras

Flared pieces like the one shown here, give dramatic styling to the NSX and exposed rivets give it that sporty racing feel. Side skirts and a custom rear diffuser make this Honda look even more track purposed while a custom air suspension can drop this car uncomfortably low.

A Revamped Legend

So does Liberty Walk's customized take on the first generation NSX truly enhance the original? A subject perhaps open to debate. We appreciate the fact that despite the extensive bodywork and upgrades, this vehicle remains unmistakably NSX and successfully manages to keep what makes the 90's NSX so legendary.
