HR-V Refresh

Honda has refreshed the HR-V for 2023, changing the design and basing it on the award-winning 11th generation Honda Civic. This design refinement leaves the HR-V larger than before, with a wider, confident stance and a longer wheelbase, showing off with wide-set LED headlights and taillights.

Thrills and Stills

Honda says the all-new HR-V was inspired by the thrill of new experiences. From the initial photos, it’s clear the extended lines of the exterior create a sense of movement—whether the SUV is in motion or at a standstill. A low beltline on the hood rounds to the sleek roofline and flows along the fenders at the rear. A subtle tailgate spoiler completes the sporty look.

Clean and Brazen

You won’t find any traditional moldings running the length of this HR-V to cover welding seams, thanks to Honda’s latest laser brazing technology. The clean look spreads to the windshield wipers, which tuck under the hood when they aren’t used.

Gateway to the Brand

Honda aims to attract a new generation of buyers with the SUV’s upscale. “By gaining aspirational qualities beyond its segment, the all-new 2023 Honda HR-V will welcome a new generation of customers to Honda and grow in importance as a gateway to the Honda brand,” said Michael Kistemaker, assistant vice president of Automobile Sales of American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

Cargo to Go

The interior hasn’t been forgotten in this redesign. The SUV’s larger frame means a generous cargo area.

Responsively Refined

While the HR-V’s powertrain and suspension specs weren’t mentioned in Honda’s style-centric press release, the SUV will reportedly feature a more responsive engine for a refined and adventurous experience.
