5 Of the Fastest All Motor Hondas

Whoever said 4-cylinders can’t get down hasn’t been around. These flame throwers burn up the drag strip and get the job done without boost.

Nyce1 Civic

Jake Gavio has one of the baddest Hondas on the face of the planet. The all motor F-series that lurks under the hood is allowed the team behind this build to become the first to break into the 9-second range without the use of turbochargers or superchargers. Capable of crack off a 9.93 @ 136.90mph makes this one of the coolest front-wheel-drive drag cars anyone has build. It’s also road legal which means you could theoretically pick up groceries faster than the Ferrari that just pulled up next to you. After hearing the racket this motor creates, you’d be foolish to try and take him down in anything short of a purpose built drag car. Many hours of trial and error went into breaking this record.

Jamie Marsh’s EG

Why are the fast guys always green? Running 9.160 @ 152.11mph is seriously impressive when you consider the Bugatti Chiron needs 16-cylinders, 4-turbos and a team of engineers to go 8/10ths of a second slower. Doing this without boost requires a very complex understanding of gear ratios, differential setup, tire selection, and suspension components, not to mention how you make all of it work together. Marsh Tuning has a bottomless pit of knowledge in this sense and it’s fully evident in the times they threw down in 2018 at the Maryland International Raceway. With a reaction time of 0.264 seconds and a 60’ time of 1.443, you can see just how mental this car is. Power comes courtesy of a K24. What else would you expect?

Drag Cartel

Hailing from Simi Valley, California the Drag Cartel backed machine weighs in a 1,700 lbs while producing over 450 horsepower from a punched out K24 that now finds itself at 2.7 liters. These guys riffled off an almost unbelievable 8.92-second pass @ 153.89mph which was good enough for a world record. Bodywork is streamlined with super trick rear wheel covers that deflect air and help this car slide through every inch of the 1,320 a car must cover in a quarter mile run. Wheelie bars are also utilized, because why not. Perhaps the most incredible aspect of this car is how easily it puts the power down. In the record pass, the car stayed completely straight with absolutely zero drama. Impressive to say the least.

ECU Shop K28

From Simi Valley, we pack our bags and fly to Thailand. Your eyes don’t deceive you, what you’re looking at is one of the fastest all motor cars in the world. The fully custom body—including a raked windshield for improved aerodynamics—houses a K28 that is built to enable this vehicle to do things that you wouldn’t expect from the fastest production cars in the world: 8 second passes. We have truly emerged into the land of the absurd when we are talking about a front wheel drive car clocking off 8.578 second passes @ 159mph. Who said JDM builds can’t slay muscle cars?

Mohammad Ghazal’s All Motor EG

Coming through the traps hot with a 9.262 @ 148.12mph is Mohammad Ghazal’s EG that utilizes a K24 to hit one of the quickest times of any K-series around. Another participant from the East Coast, this time was laid down at the Maryland International Raceway. It seems this coast takes to all motor passes like fish in water. This car absolutely looks the business and sounds the part. It’s a total screamer that has every part massaged to help it rip up pass after pass. Carbon fiber is used in the front end with an adjustable rear wing to aid in aerodynamics. Compression is high with high-end Ferrera valve train parts. Another race car that proves how versatile these platforms can be.
