I know there is a For sale/Want to buy thread already, but that is broad for cars, Parts, Ect. I think There should be a seperate thread specifically for cars only, like in the type R section only it being S2000 specific. No other cars, no parts just S2k's. Just an opinion of mine take this at your own discretion. Thanks for looking

Ok it's kinda a long story, but here goes.

Ok about 4 months ago I bought a 96 EK hatch with 87k miles on it. It is my first car. I took a loan out to get it, and the only reason I got it is because I saw it on autotrader for cheap, it was $2,900 and the loan came out to $3,300 with tax and license.

So over the past 4 months I have been making the minimun payments and spending all my money on fixing the car up.

00 front end, rims, tires, new paint, lower etc.

I still owe about $2000 on the loan, and honestly I regret getting the civic. It is so slow and I really do not want to put any more money into it, and I dont want to do an engine swap because of cops and smog and stuff, and with the oney I use to make it faster I can just get an S2K and even if I fix the EK up a stock S2K would still be faster.

So what I want to do is sell the EK ASAP, pay off the rest of the loan and start fresh and drive my dads van to work until I have ebough for a used S2k.

So basically I am wondering, should I keep the EK and continue making payments, or sell it and start saving for an S2K right now?

Hey guys, I have an 03 AP1 with 54,xxx miles. I was driving home from work this morning and noticed something in my cluster blinking, I took a look and the "Maint Req'd" light flashed 3 times then went away. I didn't think anything of it and kept driving home. A few hours later I go to get in my car and turn the key on, the light flashes roughly 10 times then goes away. The car is not running weird at all it is running fine. All fluids are good and I just had an oil change roughly 2500 miles ago with mobil 1 synthetic. If any of you have had this problem or know someone who has, and could shed some light on this I would appreciate it!

I have EPS in my Euro R Accord which is flashing codes when I jump the OBD2 Port Connector.
I did a search and can't find a list of codes (I don't think the US Accords have EPS??), but did however find out that the S2000 also has EPS (came up in the search alot). Can anyone please write a list up of fault codes for the EPS.
I'm guessing it could also be helpful for other S2K owners for future reference also??

Thanks

Im pretty positive that posting in this forum will cause an overwhelming support for the S2K.. but here it is.. I have a 14K-15K (max) budget to buy a new car.. probably not till summer though so i still have time to save. Here in NJ the S2K's are primarily high mileage S2K's 60+ but for the same i can find a low milage Si (07/08)... so my thing is.. would it be feasible to get the high mileage S2K? even though it may already have 60K+ miles on the engine.. its going to be my DD... i currently drive a EM2.. getting tired of trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill... so i think im going to abandon my sneeze project

This is what the guy says

"I’m selling a 01 Spa Yellow Honda S2000. The chassis has 130-140k miles and the motor has 60k miles. The car has a Clean Title. I am the second owner of this car, the previous owner purchases a new motor directly from Honda and I have all the paperwork of the motor swap. The motor is running strong and regular maintenance on time (oil change @ 3k, coolant, etc). Exterior and interior in excellent condition. All the car covers will be included. I bought this car for pleasure and now it’s time for me to move onto a bigger car as my family gets bigger. Currently the car is garaged since I have another car for daily."

The pics look good, the top looks worn and plastic back window looks like crap, but body/engine looks good, should I go for it? He is asking $9,000
