I have a 93 Civic EX Coupe with a b16a motor swap. i plan to purchase the megan 4-1 header and would also like to get the test pipe to go with it. I already have a 2.5" apexi exhaust bolted to the stock cat. which test pipe do i get. the one for the civic or the delsol? I know that i get the header for a del sol, the b16a2. but i am assuming that i get the test pipe for the civic due to different body lengths right? are their going to be any modifications to make this fit for will it bolt right up?

Hey guys, usually when I'm cruising on the highway and around town I can't get over 150-160* when the heater is moderately on and it's about 40* outside.

Since I've been tuning on my s300 the car runs super rich with the ECT that low, and the IAT's being real low, also.

and I feel like I shouldn't have to lower my the parameters for the car to run correctly.

Could my thermostat be faulty? or should I put something in front of the radiator to limit the flow to it? (it's the OEM 99-00 civic radiator) or do I just need to get over the fact that my coolant system works very well?

another thing that stumps me is my buddy, he has an ITR motor in his hatch with a radiator from a 90-93 integra and he can't ever get below 200* while i'm about 40-50 degrees cooler than him.

i have a LS motor btw,

TIA!

I bought a 97 Integra GSR a few months ago. It had a bad passenger front wheel bearing. I've replaced the bearing a total of 4 times now. Twice I replaced the entire knuckle. The wheel bearings only last 50 miles then they go to complete shit.

Normally when a bearing goes bad, it just makes a loud humming noise. But this is catastrophic. No humming. But the hub wobbles in all directions. It's the hub. It's not the tie rod, bushings, etc etc. I have the knuckle in hand. This after only 50 miles. When I installed it, it had no play at all.

So can anyone tell me what can destroy a wheel bearing in less than 50 miles?

Oil soaked head gasket

To make a long story short, I rebuilt my H22 bottom end in the spring. I re-installed the head using a Cometic multi-layer head gasket and ARP head studs. Recently I was having runnability issues and found broken valve keepers, so I pulled the head to fix them. When I did, the head gasket was soaked with oil on either side. The motor leaked oil worse than before the rebuild, but I attributed that to not replacing the cam seals because that's where it was leaking from. Being a mutli-layer head gasket, I'd like to think that torquing the head would have compressed the layers together, which it did not. I followed the proper torque sequence, and torqued the head to 80ft/lbs, the recommended torque given by ARP. Does either ARP or Cometic require r-torquing the studs after a certain interval? Would the gasket be soaked on both sides with improper torquing?

im installing a skunk 2 intake manifold on my b18c1 and while i was removing th eintake manifold gasket i accidentally chipped into the head surface and maybe removed 0.5 - 1mm (deep) of surface where the gasket sits on the head. Its only chipped about half of the surface not the whole part (the circled part is where its chipped the part to the left is not chipped) so i was thinking if i put some gasket sealer around the area when i put the manifold on it probably wont leak but i want h-t's opinion heres a shitty pic but tell me what you think
