so im running AEM EMS 30-1060U in my 1997 civic si (d16y8)

i did the calibration for the built in uego wideband, when i turn the ignition on and let the o2 sensor warm up i can see on my laptop that the AFR start heading to the lean area and then my o2 volt read out goes from 3.94v climbs to 5v and stays there. when the car is started it doesn't budge, did the brake cleaner test and no movement. I know this sensor is working i have actually tried 2 and my first sensor didn't do anything so i knew it was done. Is there something i am missing?

thanks

I recently traded my Sol for a 89 hatch with a D16y7 swap. This engine was thrown together. There a bunch of "splices" wrapped with electrical tape all over the engine bay. I think the guy before me installed a vtec head, because there is a vtec solenoid, thing is, the wires coming out of the bottom of it aren't connected to anything, the plug is just chillin. How do i wire this in?? I have vtec just waiting for me!? Any help is appreciated.

I went and bought a new Intake temp sensor and when i went to install it, i realized that the intake is not a stock intake, so there isn't the stock location to install it. The 10 is the ICV (idle control valve)/ circuit. Has anybody had this problem?? Can i jumper it somehow?

Ok, I just installed my OBD 1 LS motor in my crx. It has Hondata S300 installed in the ECU. I am getting two codes. One is a water temp sensor which i will replace. My concern is the ELD (code 20). Can I disable this with hondata or do I need this b/c im obd 1? If I need to use it where should I start. I have seen people replacing the underhood fuse box and others replace the alternator. Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Ok, so on this car I recently got the previous owner had a vafc2 on the car. The mods are b16a pisons, short ram, 4-1 header, test pipe, msd blaster 2 coil, stock injectors and 60mm catback.
I noticed that on the vafc, throughout the entire rpm range it only had a correction of +1% at partial and full throttle. I was just playing around and added up to 7% in above 4000 rpms and at WOT. The car runs much better now up top. So this peaked my interest. Does anyone have any recommendations on ballpark figures (i know it wont be exact without wideband) on how much fuel I should be adding in up top?

And yes I know it will be a lot better with a chipped ecu instead of the VAFC.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I've found the AMP plugs from Tyco and they are cheap. I just can't find anywhere that sells the 88 pin OBD2b connector. Unless it's just outrageous I think I can do this well under half the cost of buying one pre made.

The import scene here is really weak but I love my Honda and I want to find the potential of my set up. Sorry for the newbie question but I'm in desperate need of some help. I need to learn as much as possible so that I can tune my car myself. It's a race only vehicle so I have to tune it at the track. Hope someone has the time to help. Thanks in advance.
