The story….
So as the title states I recently sold my 1991 CRX HF (B18C). I was getting sick of the car, and just wanted something different, I wanted to try something new. After my past three cars being Honda’s I knew it was time for some change. The criteria for the new car was that it had to be Non-Honda and preferably not front wheel drive. While the CRX was for sale, I was spending tons of time looking for other cars that interested me. I had come to the decision that I wanted a Miata. Seemed like a fun, cheap, different car, which was exactly what I was looking for. Another plus to the Miata was that it was small; I like small cars (being 3ft 9in). After the CRX sold I was scouring everywhere for a reasonable 94-97 Miata. I found a few, but none were “that” car. I began to get impatient and started to lose the firm idea in my head that I wanted a Miata. The Miata I wanted was somewhat specific, clean (i.e. rust free), low mileage, stock, and in the above mentioned year range (The idea was to invest into suspension, tires, brakes, and plan on boosting it after that). After riding in a few Miata’s I realized that they were a fun car, but to be honest a bit too slow to feed the hunger demon inside me. The boost idea could solve that but that was also expensive. I slowly switched my new car options back to just about anything Non-Honda or FWD (preferably, maybe I would go back to fwd I thought).

Then almost out of nowhere came the new future ride. Knowing I was looking for a new car, a distant friend contacted me saying his brother’s car was for sale, it may not be my taste but he wanted me to know. His brother had just bought a newer M3, so his old car was up for grabs. Ready? A 1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR4. I was thinking the same thing you are probably thinking right now “big deal…all that reading for this?” I went and looked at the car anyway, and I simply just loved it. I had never been a DSM fan, but this car was different. I purchased the car and well here I am… A bit of a change from the small well handling Miata I wanted.

Info on the car…
It’s was a 2 owner car the brother had owned it the past 10 years. It has semi low mileage for the year, sitting around 95,000 miles on the chassis. I live in Wisconsin so the rust is a big issue here. On top of that Galants are notorious for rusting out from underneath which caused me to worry even more, thankfully this car had been stored winters making it clean and rust free. So finding a clean, low mileage, unique car was awesome in my books. Hence, the reasons why I bought it.

First the 1991 GSR swapped CRX I sold….kinda clean for a WI car. Only 70,000 miles on it.

his dad left his keys in his briefcase, and he took it with him to toronto. is there a way for us to somehow get that 5 ft , without jacking the car up, or using wheel skates?

for the record its a 04 and its auto.

(like maybe getting under the car and messing with the linkage?)
